Residential Treatment Program Supervisor - South Eastern Family Project

Annual Salary: $55999

Monday - Friday 11:00 am - 7:00 pm

A little about Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board

Since 1971 the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of high-quality essential and community-based services to citizens of the Peninsula who are living with mental illness developmental disabilities and substance use disorders.

The agency will proudly be re-opening the South Eastern Family Project (SEFP) in a newly renovated site. SEFP is licensed both as a 3.5 & 3.1 comprehensive residential treatment program for non-pregnant pregnant and recently postpartum women diagnosed with a substance use disorder. Gender specific substance use treatment services are provided in a healthy stable and secure residential environment. The program is designed to serve residents based on individual need in a person-centered treatment environment which encourages stabilization. A holistic approach to prevention intervention support and treatment is provided to foster the physical emotional and spiritual well-being of the women and their families.

Your role as a Residential treatment Supervisor

As the Residential Treatment Supervisor at SEFP you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive care to non-pregnant pregnant and postpartum women with substance use disorders. You will manage a caseload offering assessments treatment planning counseling and discharge planning services in a person-centered treatment environment. Your responsibilities include overseeing clinical records ensuring compliance with standards and providing direct supervision to line this dynamic role you will conduct eligibility screenings train and supervise staff evaluate work performance and monitor client behaviors while focusing on holistic well-being for women and their families.

What matters most

To excel in the role of Residential Treatment Supervisor candidates should hold a Masters Degree in Human Services and a minimum of two years of professional experience working with clients living with substance use disorders including prior supervisory experience. A residential treatment background is preferred to navigate the unique challenges of the program effectively. It is essential to be registered as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) with the Virginia Board of Counseling or be eligible for CSAC Supervision Approval within 30 days of hire.

Strong leadership skills excellent communication abilities adept problem-solving capabilities and a compassionate approach to client care are vital for success in this critical position at Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board.

The knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Masters Degree in Human Services with 2 or more years of professional experience in the care and treatment of clients living with substance use disorder
