About the Role
The Facility Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing all aspects of facility operations including preventive maintenance repairs and overall cleanliness. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities to ensure a safe compliant and inspection-ready environment. The supervisor will lead a maintenance team oversee facility projects and ensure adherence to regulatory and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and oversee routine facility maintenance including minor electrical work equipment repair troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure facility cleanliness and upkeep by coordinating cleaning painting and general repair tasks.
- Lead mentor and develop maintenance staff to foster a high-performing team culture.
- Manage facility projects such as repairs upgrades and installations with a focus on timeliness and cost efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders inspections and compliance documentation.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA cGMP SQF UL and other regulatory standards.
- Partner with operations safety and quality teams to prepare for inspections and audits.
- Oversee vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repair services.
- Drive continuous improvement in facility operations maintenance efficiency and safety practices.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in facility maintenance or management within manufacturing warehouse or production environments.
- Hands-on expertise with minor electrical systems mechanical equipment and general facility upkeep.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage coach and develop team members.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Knowledge of cGMP SQF and UL standards.
- Excellent problem-solving communication and collaboration abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
- Certification in facility management maintenance or occupational safety.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Experience managing vendor contracts and service-level agreements.
- Ability to respond effectively to after-hours facility emergencies.
