You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Prevention of Sexual Abuse Compliance and Training Coordinator (PSA Compliance and Training Coordinator) is responsible for ensuring the Transitional Foster Care for Unaccompanied Children Programs compliance with ORR and State Licensing policies. As the PSA Coordinator he or she oversees implementation and ongoing compliance with the Interim final Rule on UC Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment standards at care provider facilities to ensure that the program follows ORR policy and procedure to Prevent Detect and Respond to Sexual Abuse and harassment involving UCs. This role also involves the management of formal internal quality assurance processes up-to-date knowledge of federal and state policy and procedures and communication with LIRS on
internal quality assurance efforts.
Essential Functions:
1. Monitor the implementation of ORR UC policies and procedures including compliance in case management case documentation and staff training requirements.
2. Conduct regular internal reviews of case files UC Portal files personnel files and foster family files as well as any other standard focal areas associated with ORR P&P and state policy.
3. Analyze ORR and state policy and procedure updates and translate into practical operationalization for program staff.
4. Monitor and report on the implementation of ORR and state policy and procedure updates as well as any program recommendations corrective action plans and program development plans.
5. Serve as primary point of contact with LIRS Program Manager and ORR Stakeholders on Policy and Procedure updates corrective action plans and program development plans
6. Develops coordinates and implements program policy and procedures related to ORRstandards to Prevent Detect and Respond to Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment Involving Unaccompanied Children.
7. Provides oversight and enforcement of program policy and procedures in accordance with ORR standards to Prevent Detect and Respond to Sexual Abuse and Harassment Involving Unaccompanied Children.
8. Identifies and develops procedures to best utilize community resources and services to provide expertise and support to UC victims of Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment.
9. Develops coordinates and facilitates trainings related to the Prevention Detection and Responsiveness of Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment Involving Unaccompanied Children and ensure annual training requirements are met.
10. Promotes excellence in service implementation and continual improvement by assessing program service delivery identifying barriers to effective implementation and developing action plans to address areas of needed improvement.
11. Collects data and conducts quality assurance reviews every quarter and/or at the conclusion of every investigation of sexual abuse or sexual harassment and assesses program service delivery identifying barriers to effective implementation of policies and procedures and developing action plans to address areas of needed improvement.
12. Completes programmatic reports related to sexual abuse or sexual harassment as well as program performance.
13. Demonstrates proficiency in knowledge of psychotropic medication Behavior Management and Intervention Techniques and child abuse reporting procedures in accordance with ORR-DUCS Policy and Procedure Manual.
14. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education: Bachelors degree in behavioral sciences human services or social services fields.
Experience: BI-lingual in Spanish. Must have at least one year of experience working with child welfare standards best practices or quality assurance or compliance.
Specific skills/abilities: Conceptual understanding of how quality assurance fits within broader processes of program quality improvement. Ability to independently manage projects and time with limited supervision. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Attention to detail and data quality. Multitasking problem solving analytical and organization skills. Time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions (using the UC Portal and internal e-case management software Internet and e-mail applications.). Awareness and sensitivity to the service populations cultural and socio-economic characteristics is required.
Specialized knowledge licenses etc: Sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic differences.
Valid drivers license.
