Senior Director Member Programs GCSAA is seeking a strategic hands-on leader to drive member recruitment and engagement while overseeing the development and delivery of high-impact programs and services. Position will oversee the Membership department (member recruitment retention and governance) Learning & Career Development (education certificates certification programs etc.) First Green & Workforce Development (provides clear pathways & resources to introduce the industry to new audiences) and Chapter Outreach (connects the association with chapters in their areas driving membership growth & fundraising efforts). Position reports to executive leadership and serves on the Department and Senior Leadership teams. This leader will guide a talented multidisciplinary team foster cross-departmental collaboration and manage external partnerships. Ideal candidate combines big-picture with the ability to execute inspire and adapt in a dynamic mission-driven environmnent. Qualified candidates possess: - Ability to collaborate with executive leadership to develop & implement data-driven strategies to ensure membership programs products services and campaigns are fulfilled
- Capable of partnering with other departments to identify and develop sponsorship and new business opportunities
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in implementing membership growth and retainment strategies
- Highly effective public speaking/presentation skills to large groups to represent GCSAA at key industry events and building relationships through networking
- Expertise to create strategic materials updates and reports to support communication with the GCSAA Board of Directors and GCSAA Committee members
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced deadline-driven budget conscious environment
- Ability to plan prioritize and implement work flow to meet departmental/organizational objectives
- Ability to be an effective leader and contributor in a collaborative team environment; ability to build healthy and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including grammar proofreading and prioritization skills coupled with strong attention to detail
- Ability to think creatively and strategically to solve complex problems along with the ability to quickly grasp concepts
- Highly organized detail-oriented and customer service focused with high follow-up/follow-through skills
- Bachelors degree in business nonprofit management public administration or related field or equivalent experience
- Five (5) to seven (7) years within the golf industry a general understanding of our membership and profession including five (5) years at a director level or higher
- Well versed with a range of business technologies including CRM and AMS systems data tools Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint etc.) Keynote project management and virtual collaboration platforms
- Ability to travel (up to 15-25%) overnight stays included
- Position will reside at our headquarters in Lawrence KS - must be open to relocation
