We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Chief Accountant to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations ensuring accuracy in financial reporting managing accounting processes and contributing to strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international accounting principles a thorough understanding of financial regulations and experience in leading teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations ensuring compliance with accounting standards regulations and tax regulations
- Prepare review and analyze financial statements including balance sheets P&L statements and cash flow statements
- Manage the monthly quarterly and annual closing processes ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Prepare accurate reports and ensure submission timely to the statistical bureau to the banks and other instances according to law and local requirements
- Collaborate and collaborate tasks with banks
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits preparing necessary documentation and responding to audit queries
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts including bank accounts accounts payable and accounts receivable stock and assets management
- Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations and prepare tax filings
- Lead the accounting team coordinate work with external services and Shared Service
- Collaborate with other departments to support business initiatives and provide financial insights
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
- Proven experience (5 years) in accounting or finance roles in international companies
- Strong knowledge of International Accounting Principles and financial reporting
- Experience with accounting software preferably with iScala
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent analytical organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in tax preparation and regulatory compliance
- Fluency in Polish and English
