What can you expect
The Marsh Specialty Asia Construction practice is a specialized segment within Marsh that focuses on providing risk management and insurance solutions tailored to the construction industry across Asia. As a key member of this practice you will be responsible for managing strategic regional clients and projects including those involving complex contract reviews project financing and bespoke placement structures.
What is in it for you
You will be a senior member of the Marsh Specialty Asia Construction practice (Asia Construction EXCO Member) managing a team as well as working closely with global regional and local stakeholders.
We will count on you to:
- Develop broking strategy including identification and execution of new strategies/ opportunities.
- People management and development of the Client Executive team.
- Management of strategic regional clients/ projects namely those involving project financing complex contract reviews bespoke placement structures. Bring the entire team together to formulate the go-to-market strategy.
- Preparation and management of client proposals tenders and presentations.
- Utilize expert risk expertise and knowledge of industry and insurance market place to review clients exposures and loss experience and develop solutions for complex clients needs including recommending additional products and services as solutions.
- Country operation oversight encompassing relationship building with key internal stakeholders pipeline development technical resource and insurance/ reinsurance programme management. Specific Asia retail country responsibility to be determined.
- Development of the construction digital platform offering and associated material for client promotion RFPs and presentations
What you need to have:
- A minimum 10 years of experience with a proven track record in construction insurance broking or related broking roles with deep industry knowledge and client management skills.
- Solid technical expertise and a solid foundational knowledge of the industry.
- Strong network within the construction and insurance broking sectors.
- In-depth understanding of working within multicultural and multinational environments; on-the-ground experience in Asia is preferred.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with the ability to collaborate effectively with business teams to drive growth and development.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills with the capacity to manage relationships across all levels of seniority. Gravitas and professionalism to engage confidently with C-suite executives.
- Prior team management experience is essential.
- Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility in dynamic and evolving environments. Resilience and the ability to maintain performance under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Fluency in English is a must.
- Willingness to relocate to Hong Kong.
