Services Cost Lead Aftermarket Off-Wing Operations

Full-Time

Derby/Hybrid

We are seeking a highly driven individual to support the delivery of Cost Control in a pivotal area of the business. This role offers the opportunity to support and influence Aftermarket Off-Wing Operations Cost from the global overhaul network to executive decision making and play a key part in embedding a culture of cost consciousness across the organisation.

With a broad scope and high visibility this position goes beyond the traditional cost control. Youll work closely with Value stream owners and overhaul bases to leverage data systems behaviours and strategic insight to drive real change not just in the numbers but in how we think about value efficiency and performance. What you will be doing:

The successful individual will be driven structured process focused & show strong levels of agility to manage the great variety the role has to offer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Value streams to analysing cost drivers trends and behaviours identifying opportunities for optimization through process policy sourcing and design levers.
  • Promote cost awareness across multiple areas embedding cost ownership into everyday decision-making.
  • Develop and implement robust cost frameworks and models that go beyond tracking enabling proactive cost management and scenario planning.
  • Influence key stakeholders at all levels to adopt a value-first mindset using data and insight to support challenging conversations and strategic trade-offs.
  • Partner cross-functionally with finance supply chain operations and programme teams to ensure joined up thinking and accountability.
  • Lead the development of cost reporting dashboards and tools to improve visibility transparency and performance tracking.
  • Support commercial and value stream requirements ensuring shop visit costs are competitive and aligned with contractual and operational requirements.
  • Continuously improve systems and processes related to cost control governance and reporting to enhance efficiency and impact.

Key Experience & Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Strong experience in Cost Control ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Track record of influencing cost performance and driving cross-functional cost initiative at pace.
  • Experience in embedding a culture of cost ownership and accountability across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Proven ability to work with large sets of data and translate insights into actionable decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced change orientated environment with competing priorities.
  • High degree of self-motivation flexibility initiative action-orientation and vision supplemented with good IT skill
