Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Instruction & Curriculum:
Plan prepare and deliver engaging ELA instruction aligned to Ohio Academic Content Standards and district curriculum.
Integrate reading writing speaking and listening skills into daily lessons.
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners including students with IEPs 504 plans and English Language Learners.
Assessment & Data:
Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress.
Analyze assessment data to inform instruction and provide targeted interventions.
Classroom Environment:
Create a positive respectful and culturally responsive classroom environment conducive to learning.
Implement effective classroom management strategies following district and building expectations.
Technology Integration:
Incorporate technology tools and digital platforms to enhance learning and student engagement.
Use district-adopted Learning Management Systems (LMS) and grading platforms effectively.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with colleagues in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to plan instruction analyze data and support student achievement.
Communicate regularly with parents guardians and support staff regarding student progress.
Professional Growth:
Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in literacy instruction and pedagogy.
Additional Duties:
Supervise students in non-instructional settings as assigned.
Attend staff meetings parent conferences and school events as required.
