The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing Spares Supply Chain management Field Operations Engineering Product Training and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.
Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Engineering Manager to lead a product support team within the KLA Services Division. This role involves overseeing new product introduction (NPI) technical support and product sustaining activities. The successful candidate will drive the organization towards a new level of execution excellence aligning with KLA and KLA Services initiatives and business goals while meeting both internal and external customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a product support team ensuring seamless new product introductions and robust technical support.
- Collaborate with product teams to influence design and meet service objectives including uptime cost of service and performance delivery.
- Provide direction and guidance to the technical support team for both remote and onsite escalation support ensuring customer tools meet committed uptime and performance standards.
- Engage with supply chain manufacturing engineering and other organizations to ensure products are supportable and sustainable driving supportability issues to closure.
Key Attributes:
- Strong business acumen and experience in designing or supporting semiconductor equipment.
- Solid technical background in related science or engineering fields.
- Proven leadership skills with at least 10 years of experience leading a team of design or service engineers in the semiconductor equipment industry.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct management experience preferably with experience managing managers.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to drive initiatives and achieve business goals.
