Job Description
As the Service Centre Operations Manager you will be at the heart of our service business ensuring operational excellence safety and productivity in our repair and manufacturing facilities. You will play a key role in executing our global standards locally while influencing future strategies and operational improvements. This is a leadership role with real autonomy where your decisions will directly impact business success customer satisfaction and our journey towards sustainability. This role is based in Mackay.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee daily operations ensuring targets for safety quality cost and delivery are consistently achieved.
Develop and implement streamlined processes to enhance efficiency reduce waste and improve productivity.
Drive financial performance through effective planning cost control and budget management.
Foster a high-performance team culture empowering and coaching employees to deliver results.
Build strong working relationships with internal teams suppliers and customers to support business goals.
Ensure compliance with all HSE requirements embedding a Zero Harm culture.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives using lean and agile methodologies to deliver measurable gains.
What we are looking for
Degree in Engineering Business Management or Trade Certification.
Proven leadership experience in operations management (manufacturing repairs or mining services preferred).
Strong commercial and financial acumen with a track record of delivering operational results.
Knowledge of mining mineral processing or heavy industry equipment (experience with FLSmidth products is a plus).
Excellent leadership mentoring and communication skills with the ability to inspire teams and influence stakeholders.
