Nipromec Oy Ltd is an international consulting and engineering company founded in 2003. We offer design and consulting services for multiple industries with emphasis on energy and construction. Nipromec offices in Finland are located in Rauma Turku Tampere Mikkeli and Helsinki. Group has offices also in Malm in Sweden Erlangen in Germany Bristol and London in United Kingdom.
We are now looking for a PROJECT ENGINEER for a client project in Espoo for a fixed-term or permanent employment. Working hours are 40h/week and the role requires willingness to travel.
As a Project Engineer you will be primarily working for hydrogen projects although involvement in projects related to our Nuclear Business Unit is also possible. Your main role will be to act as a Project Engineer in delivering large projects supporting the Project Lead/Manager in the hydrogen team during project development and execution. You will be working in a team as responsible for supporting the project delivery during the feed and implementation of investment and delivery projects for the clients.
Main tasks include:
- Acts as first substitute of the project manager
- Supports the project managers in all project activities such as planning execution and site related activities.
- Manages sub projects according to project management practices and project managers instructions
- Contributes to delivering the projects within the set safety scope cost time and quality targets
- Coordinates and monitors internal and external stakeholders to support in achieving project targets
- Manages and supervises OEMs and contractors (communications requirement change and schedule management) as agreed in the project
- Follows up prepares and reports project progress (technical documentation financial aspects or other) under project managers guidance
- Manages tasks and small sub-projects independently or small projects with the support of a Project manager according to own and stakeholders (clients) delivery processes and requirements
We expect:
- University Degree in engineering (Bachelor or MSc) with 3-5 years of work experience in engineering projects
- Conceptual and analytical thinking good communication skills and organized approach to work tasks
- Ability to work independently and to adapt to changes in project environment
- Good leadership characteristics and interpersonal skills. Personal credibility and ability to build working relationships across multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
- Creative and development-focused mindset with attention to detail
- Basic understanding of Project Management principles and techniques business focus and customer-centricity
- Basic knowledge in MS Project
- Working proficiency in English AND Finnish
