Job Description
This is a 16-week contract position for an X-Ray Technologist with the possibility of extension into January. The role requires performing portable x-rays routine x-ray exams operating C-arm equipment in surgery and assisting with fluoroscopy. The technologist will work a Saturday-Tuesday schedule with on-call responsibilities 2-4 nights per month.
- Conducting routine x-ray exams.
- Operating C-arm x-ray equipment during surgical procedures.
- Assisting with fluoroscopy (limited capacity).
- Maintaining patient records and documentation.
- Adhering to safety protocols and radiation safety guidelines.
- Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team.
- Proficiency in portable x-ray routine x-ray and C-arm operation.
- Experience with fluoroscopy (preferred but limited experience acceptable).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
- Weekend work required (Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM).
- On-call responsibilities: 2-4 days per month.
- Block schedule: Saturday-Tuesday.
- Must be comfortable performing procedures in various units.
- On-call 2-4 nights per month.
- Block schedule.
