Job Description

Job Description:

The Dispensing Associate is responsible for the accurate dispensing of raw materials including liquids powders (hazardous and non-hazardous) and acids/bases under cGMP conditions to support the manufacture of therapeutic proteins (API). The individual will perform and monitor dispensing processes in compliance with written procedures and safety standards ensuring adherence to aseptic technique cross-contamination awareness and proper documentation practices. This role requires strict compliance with cGMP guidelines and the ability to operate effectively in a controlled manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and monitor dispensing of raw materials (liquids powders acids and bases) in accordance with cGMP guidelines.
  • Demonstrate aseptic technique and cross-contamination awareness when handling materials.
  • Follow and adhere to all written procedures (SOPs) and execute process recipes accurately.
  • Perform basic laboratory tasks including pH measurement conductivity testing and sampling.
  • Operate while fully grown and wearing required PPE in a Class C cleanroom environment.
  • Qualify for all assigned tasks and maintain compliance with training requirements.
  • Clean and sanitize dispensing equipment as per schedules and procedures.
  • Perform peer and first-level reviews of completed dispense orders/kits following training completion and trainer signoff.
  • Accurately complete and review documentation in compliance with cGMP and GDP requirements.
  • Prepare and transport materials to manufacturing suites; perform material movements both physically and in software systems.
  • Participate in safety inspections and submit safety observations to promote a safe working environment.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as shift exchanges attending meetings sending/receiving emails and participating in assigned projects.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned to support the Logistics Team.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Life Sciences Biotechnology Chemistry or related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Basic understanding of cGMP compliance and good documentation practices (GDPs).
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique and cross-contamination prevention.
  • Ability to follow SOPs and process recipes accurately.
  • Attention to detail with strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment with required PPE.
  • Basic laboratory skills (pH conductivity testing sampling).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills.

Desired / Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience working in a regulated cGMP manufacturing or laboratory environment.
  • Hands-on experience with dispensing or logistics processes in pharmaceutical/biotech settings.
  • Familiarity with electronic dispensing systems (eDispense) and material movement software.
  • Previous cleanroom experience.
