Job Description
Job Title: Production Operator/Machine Operator
Shift: Day Shift 7:00 AM 7:00 PM (Alternating Schedule: Mon/Tue/Fri/Sat/Sun/Wed/Fri Every Two Weeks)
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Location: Route 7 and Grace Way Canaan CT USA 06018
Job Description:
- We are seeking a motivated and reliable Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have some prior manufacturing experience and strong attention to detail. This role involves performing a variety of routine production tasks under general supervision.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Manufacturing experience preferred but not mandatory
- Must be able to speak read and write English fluently
- Must be able to pass a background check prior to start
- Ability to work a flexible and rotating schedule
- Must be able to work overtime as required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform production tasks such as filling utility operations packaging assembling labeling and inspecting
- Maintain accurate records and logs in compliance with FDA GMP and ISO9000 standards
- Conduct in-process quality checks and complete quality documentation accurately
- Assist with product or equipment changeovers and equipment troubleshooting
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of machinery and work area
- Record production data including PPH (Parts Per Hour) scrap/waste and SAP/MES transactions
- Identify and report issues to the Cell Lead
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (CI) including Kaizens Blitzes and KAS activities
- Rotate through different tasks and responsibilities as needed
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work under direct supervision
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Must be punctual and have reliable attendance
