What we are looking forOptime Care is seeking a Quality Manager for our Specialty Pharmacy in Earth City MO. The Quality Manager will plan direct and coordinate the companys quality management and quality system. They will also focus on regulatory compliance performance improvement industry accreditations and employee credentialing. The Quality Manager will also support the ongoing improvement of the quality function and identify implement and administer our quality software and systems.This position is expected to be on-site at our facility 5 days a week Monday through Friday.What the position will be doing- Direct the requirements of the Optime Care quality management system.
- Serve as an active member of the management team interacting with the team to ensure that operations are aligned with key quality and regulatory objectives.
- Coach and mentor the Optime Team to ensure appropriate levels of accountability for decision making related to quality and regulatory and clearly communicate cross-functionally within the organization.
- Provide leadership to the Team in the development of quality and regulatory strategies and processes.
- Assist in the identification of improvement goals and related client/patient outcomes.
- Oversee the completion of employee training on the quality management system requirements.
- Provide counsel training and guidance to the Team on quality and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare for obtain and maintain third-party accreditations such as URAC ACHC etc.
- Direct the development implementation and administration of systems and processes to ensure appropriate compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Support the overall development and implementation of the performance improvement efforts of the company.
- Support all regulatory and licensing efforts.
- Keep abreast of quality and compliance trends and requirements and utilize that knowledge to drive the adjustment of company plans and processes.
- Provide the company leadership and direction in the event of significant deviation events.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or necessary; remain flexible and adaptable in work schedules and assignments as defined by departmental and organizational needs.
Necessary Skills Education & Abilities- Five (5) or more years experience in quality systems and regulatory compliance preferably in healthcare-related fields.
- A Bachelors degree or 4-year equivalent is required.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (preferred) quality management systems analytics and statistics for evaluating quality.
- Strong knowledge of analytics and insights related to the development measurement and evaluation of quality metrics.
- Knowledge of Pharmaceutical or other Health Care related practice or service
- Extensive knowledge of quality management including tools and systems.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and practices.
- ASQ Certified Quality Manager preferred but not required.
- Lean / Six Sigma Certifications preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of business principles and processes for providing leadership. This includes needs assessment meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of current practice.
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words rules of composition and grammar
