The Membership Development Representative supports the credit unions efforts to build relationships with Select Employer Groups (SEGs) community partners and potential members. This role plays an important part in promoting the credit unions brand in the community and assisting with outreach efforts that help grow membership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with outreach to Select Employer Groups to support events and employee engagement efforts.
- Attends community events chamber functions and other networking opportunities to help promote the credit union and support new business development.
- Helps with opening new memberships at events and ensures that any collected information is handled securely.
- Supports coordination between branch staff and business members to identify opportunities for growth and referrals.
- Maintains records of outreach activities and helps prepare reports to track progress and results.
- Works to meet set goals related to new member outreach and participation in community or SEG-related activities.
- Actively participates in training programs and credit union learning opportunities to build knowledge and skills.
- Follows the FHCU Service Standards at all times.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Educational/Training Requirement: High School Diploma or GED Associates Degree preferred
Experience:
- 12 years of customer service experience preferably in a financial services or retail environment
- Experience participating in community events or outreach is a plus
- Willingness to learn about business development and member engagement
Licenses/Certifications:
- Must possess valid drivers license and be available to travel to locations as scheduled
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Interest in learning about credit union products services and policies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly outgoing and customer-focused demeanor
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook)
- Ability to manage time well and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable speaking in group settings or learning to do so
- Flexible schedule with availability for occasional evening or weekend events
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands require a person to remain seated for up to ten (10) hours per day and perform repetitive hand movements on a keyboard.
Salary: The base pay for this position is $21/hr. A $.50 premium may be added if the applicant is able to demonstrate a proficiency in both English & Spanish (oral & written).
