The opportunity:
The Enterprise Architect position plays a key role in shaping and optimising AIA NZs technological landscape. As an Enterprise Architect your primary objective is to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive architecture strategy. This strategy will radically simplify the technology in use at AIA and embed AI throughout our business and the customer experience we deliver.
You will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing quality and strategic alignment of technology solutions and tracking progress towards our technology and business goals. This role will act as an evangelist for technology by way of communication socialization of ideas concepts and building partnerships in alignment with change management methodologies.
Key responsibilities include:
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into a comprehensive technology roadmap.
Leadership of Solution Planning Design & Quality Assurance: Oversee the option analysis design and implementation of scalable secure efficient and simplified IT systems that meet current and future business needs.
Strategic Alignment: Work closely with AIA NZ business stakeholders and AIA Group Office to understand strategic objectives and translate them into actionable technology plans that support business growth and align to AIA Group target architecture.
Governance management: Responsible for ensuring AIA NZ follows and is aligned to the architecture and technology governance models set out by AIA Group Office and local BU.
Technology & Package Evaluation: Assess emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact on AIA NZs architecture providing recommendations for adoption. Keep up to date on the latest technology trends in the industry focusing on the areas of cloud computing storage applications software development data systems and automation.
Standards & Best Practices: Understand develop and maintain architectural principles practices policies and standards locally and with AIA Group Office ensuring consistency and compliance across the IT environment
Documentation and reference architecture: Create and maintain architecture documentation and diagrams (physical logical process flow) for current critical systems architecture including integrations and workflows.
Enterprise Capability Planning: Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess define and plan the development of enterprise capabilities aligning technology initiatives with organisational goals.
Risk Management: Identify assess and mitigate technology-related risks with a focus on ensuring the security availability and reliability of enterprise systems.
Ideally youll bring:
Bachelor Technical Degree or Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science Software Engineering Information Systems or equivalent.
10 years of experience in Architecture Software development New Technologies and or Analytics products preferably in either Financial Services Banking and or Insurance.
Brings demonstrated leadership skills
Strong senior leader/stakeholder management & engagement skills.
