Job Description

Job Title: Head Varsity Coach for Baseball

Department: Athletics Classification: Exempt
Reports to: Athletic Director Schedule: Seasonal

Cristo Rey Jesuit High School a Jesuit college-preparatory co-educational school seeks a Head Varsity Coach for Baseball. The successful candidate will have a commitment to Catholic education and a willingness to work with a population of diverse learners. The successful Cristo Rey coach is dedicated to developing the whole person in sport character and skills for success in life.

The candidate will be responsible for leading the Baseball program including supervision of assistant varsity coaches and the JV coaching staff.

Qualifications

Strong background in the sport.
Excellent role model.
Flexible in nature and dedicated to empowering Hispanic student-athletes.
Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills; familiarity with the mission of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School; the ability to respond effectively to the needs of student-athletes.
Minimum 21 years of age drivers license preferred.

Competencies

Ability to use technology in support of instruction and athlete development.
Commitment to working with a diverse student body.
Familiarity with Spanish language and first-generation students preferred.
Willingness to collaborate with others.
Familiarity with current coaching and training methods.
Organizational skills.
