The role
As Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator you will support the Switch Programme Manager to manage our inventory (including reporting ordering utilisation records and supplier relationships) as well as small assets and fleet (repairs and records). You will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day running of our warehouse and ensuring that accurate up-to-date records are available for our team.
Key responsibilities include:
Establish develop and maintain business relationships with customers suppliers and adopt a customer service approach when working with our team members. Work with them to support procurement and operational delivery.- Work efficiently to avoid unnecessary delay to others and core business functions.
- Continuously improve the running of the warehouse and record-keeping to support operational delivery and reduce waste.
Stock levels and inbound/outbound stock
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels and manage ordering to ensure that we maintain optimal stock levels (as per parameters established by Civtec and our clients).
- Track analyse and report on inventory usage. Use this reporting to make appropriate stock orders (or recommendations for stock orders following Civtec guidance) which minimise unnecessary expenditure for Civtec through effective utilisation of existing stock. Provide rationale for procurement of new stock and ensure approval is in place prior to raising (or agreeing to a request to raise) a PO or requisition request.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of incoming stock. Store or allocate to the appropriate location as per company best practice.
- Support productivity across the business by ensuring that records of stock usage are up-to-date and accurate.
Fleet & Small Assets
- Work alongside the Fleet and Facilities Coordinator (team) to provide direct support and assistance with Fleet Management tasks (ie. vehicle checks; maintenance and repair; accurate record keeping).
- Ensure maintenance and repair of small assets is undertaken as per established timeframes and on an as-and-when required basis. Coordinate with suppliers to complete repairs and maintain service records where relevant.
Skills and attributes we are looking for:
- Inventory Management Warehouse Coordinator or other previous stock management experience (essential).
- Excellent computer competencyexperience with Dynamics (desirable) and Microsoft suite including Excel (essential).
- Forklift licence and experience. (preferred)
- A good eye for detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and customer service.
- Time management; organised and able to self-manage.
- Problem-solver (think outside-the-box); analytical and have a flexible mindset.
- Must be physically fit able to stand for extended periods and able to lift and carry items and materials.
