Job Description
The Oilfield Mechanic (Heavy Duty Mechanic) is responsible for the inspection maintenance and repair of diesel-powered heavy equipment trailers hydraulic systems and oilfield service units. This role includes both shop and field work operating a service truck to perform mobile repairs and providing troubleshooting and diagnostic support.
Location: Rotational -Zelienople PA / Williston ND / Kilgore TX / Midland TX
Job Type: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $22.00 $34.00/hour (Based on experience and skill level)

Schedule:
- Rotational Schedule - 28 days on / 14 days off
- Day Night Weekend and Holiday shifts required
- 100% travel
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines (Cat Detroit Allison Cummins)
- Perform maintenance on trucks trailers hydraulic systems and emissions systems (DEF/DPF/Tier 4)
- Use diagnostic software: SIS INSIGHT Allison
- Rebuild hydraulic systems and perform field service repairs
- Mentor Mechanic 1 and trainee-level team members
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Operate forklifts and telehandlers
- Participate in on-call weekend rotation
- Work in various outdoor conditions (approx. 75% shop 25% field)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 15 years of verifiable diesel mechanic experience (oilfield preferred)
- Valid drivers license with a clean motor vehicle record
- Must pass pre-employment background check physical and drug screen
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible and irregular hours including nights weekends and holidays
Preferred Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience mentoring others
- Familiarity with oilfield equipment safety practices and documentation
- Comfortable working under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
