Join a world-class academic healthcare system UChicago Medicine as a Manager of Procedural Assets in the LVAD Program.

As a Manager Procedural Assets you will provide oversight for all asset management and logistics for Procedural Services. This role provides operational leadership including process redesign and improvement and workflow and logistics analysis. Collaborate with the Clinical Operations Director Support Operations Director Medical Directors Ambulatory Administrators and others to assist in development and implementation of operational and strategic initiatives related to asset management and logistics.

Essential Job Functions

  • Leads process redesign activities related to equipment and the physical procedural space
  • Supervise equipment coordinators administer and implement department policies standards and procedures and organizes department operations and procedures. Ensures assets flow to the appropriate area as needed.
  • Provides/Oversees trouble shooting of equipment in all Procedural areas. Develops metrics and tracks trends related to equipment failure across all areas.
  • Manages the capital asset acquisition process develops annual capital plans and works with key stakeholders to determine needs.
  • Manages requisition process for all non-capital non-supply chain needs. Ensures shipping and receiving is tracked/documented appropriately.
  • Works with supply chain to manage service/maintenance related agreements for assets in Procedural Services.
  • Performs other duties as requested by senior management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in healthcare or business-related field preferred
  • Requires five (5) years of administration experience with at least (3) years supervisory experience Previous scheduling experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Proficiency and advanced skills in a variety of computer software applications including word processing spread sheets presentation applications Microsoft Project and Visio and Kronos Workforce
  • Requires a working knowledge of patient satisfaction metrics and data analyses
  • A high degree of initiative and problem solving and an understanding of budgeting processes and awareness of profit and loss concepts
  • Strong customer-service orientation and commitment to excellence with at least (3) years of prior customer service experience
  • Must be able to independently and professionally interact with customers both internal and external to the Hospitals.
  • Must have strong conflict resolution skills and be able to diffuse situation quickly with care and compassion.
  • Excellent written and verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks in a competent and professional manner in a fast-paced environment
  • Experienced with a broad range of software applications spreadsheets database and word processing
  • Must be able to work independently and in an organized manner and work with other staff to accomplish goals; display a professional attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.

The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
