The Adult Services Division (ASD) of DCHS works in partnership with communities to develop support and provide human services programs focused on achieving results in housing stability financial stability healthy living and social engagement for veterans service members and their families; older adults and their caregivers; and other populations who experience vulnerability. ASD also leads efforts to improve access to and coordination across the human services system.
We are seeking a skilled and mission-aligned Project/Program Manager II to serve as a Research Assistant and report directly to the ASD Division Director as a member of the ASD Directors Office. This role will support evidence-based planning and decision-making across ASD programs by conducting research literature reviews and environmental scans. The Research Assistant will contribute to the development and improvement of policies procedures program designs and strategic initiatives by identifying and synthesizing relevant research promising practices and regulatory frameworks.

WORK SCHEDULE/CONDITIONS:This position is scheduled to work 40 hours weekly Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm. The current minimum in-office requirement is every Wednesday. This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime. The Special Duty Assignment (SDA) or Term-Limited Temporary (TLT) position(s) are anticipated to end 24 months after the start date but are subject to change depending on operational need.
MISSION CRITICAL POSITION STATUS:This position has been designated Non-Mission Critical. Unless otherwise directed by the County Executive department director or agency head all employees regardless of designation are expected to report to work or request leave during an emergency or inclement weather. TELEWORKING REQUIREMENT:The work associated with this position will be performed or conducted through a combination of teleworking and onsite work and meetings. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
