**Position is eligible for a hybrid-teleworking schedule to include weekly onsite work hours**

***ANTICIPATED VACANCY***



This Rehabilitation Casework Technician position is located in the Sylva Unit Office and will partner directly with the counselor serving transition aged youth with various disabilities in the Jackson Macon and Swain County Schools. This position is eligible for in-person and remote work.


Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Interviewing consumers sharing agency information and gathering diagnostic reports to assist counselors with determining eligibility and developing individualized plans for employment.
  • Documenting casework and provision of substantial services in the case management system throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Monitoring consumer progress throughout the service delivery process to help consumers meet their goals.
  • Following up with consumers employers vendors schools and other agency personnel to directly place highly qualified consumers with disabilities in appropriate employment settings.
  • Assisting VR staff with job seeking skills workshops and aiding consumers with job search activities.
  • Preparing documents including billing and payment documents and correspondence as needed.
  • Complete all related administrative tasks.
