A day in the life.
Account Managers for Private Client Services (PCS) at Marsh McLennan Agency provide a high professional standard of service to customers in their overall development and management of an assigned book of accounts. Serving as an advisor to clients Account Managers consistently initiate contact with existing customers identify needs and recommend appropriate coverages and addition Account Managers build relationships with customers and carrier underwriters to encourage growth and retention of the book of this role you would be an integral part of the PCS team receiving on the job training and on-going support from management and team members.
- Manage retain and grow assigned book of accounts by planning and carrying out daily responsibilities with minimal direction using sound judgment and independent thinking
- Maintain knowledge of carrier manuals appetite services and coverage forms/products available from each of our carrier partners
- Responsible for front-end underwriting of accounts to align the proper carrier and best solutions for the customers/prospects insurance needs
- Provide quotations coverage summaries/comparisons proposals and recommendations proposed
- Responsible for all customer communications conflict resolution and compliance on customer deliverables. Ensure customer or carrier conflicts are handled in an effective manner by identifying and implementing solutions as issues arise and informing the department director of any problems.
- Responsible for the proper documentation in the agency management system of all customer communications and the confidentiality of all customer documentation
- Provide periodic coverage reviews to address new/changing insurance needs of customers. Make customers aware of the services available in other departments within the agency
- Oversee the processing of mail renewals new business billing cancellations non-renewals reinstatements and other administrative functions carried out by associates and analysts
Our future colleague.
Wed love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
- 5 years of insurance industry experience with at least 3 years spent working in Personal Lines ideally in a brokerage environment
- Strong working knowledge of personal insurance coverages
- Active Property and Casualty insurance license
- Effective oral and written communication and relationship building skills essential
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word Excel and PowerPoint
- Exceptional time management and organization skillsas well as strong attention to detail
These additional qualifications are a plus but not required to apply:
- Bachelors Degree in Risk Management Business Management Finance or other relevant program
- Experience with Epic
- Associate in General Insurance designation
