Responsibilities:
Dealer Financial Analysis/Financial Health:
- Provide actionable insights to support APD strategy initiative and execution assist dealer profitable growth by leading analysing confidential financial reports and evaluates the financial strength in assigned region(s). Interpret financial data in the context of broader business strategy and market dynamics and provide recommendation to assists dealers in financial planning credit and collections accounting cash management maintaining financial health etc.
Dealer Portfolio Management :
- Support District and Region on dealer profile process for dealer performance measurement.
- Provide granular dealer portfolio analysis to Business Partners to support dealer growth financial performance & continuity.
- Support District and Region on dealer continuity planning to analyse the financial impact on the dealership when transitioned to new owner. Analyses and evaluates proposals submitted by prospective dealer candidates and make recommendations relative to acceptability.
Asset Management & Compliance:
- Manages company receivables and administers payment policy to minimize past dues.
- Ensures robust internal controls regulatory compliance and business risk mitigation.
- Ensures compliance to Dealer Finance Procedures Sarbanes Oxley Act and Treasury Letters
Financial Institution Relationship:
- Provides assistance to dealers in obtaining affordable financing and flexible credit line arrangements from financial institutions. Analyses existing lending agreements and takes part in negotiations with the dealers and their lenders for mutually acceptable legal documentation to protect company assets.
Projects
- Leads/participates in projects for strategic initiative. Provides valuables insights to business partners for better decision-making.
Talent Management:
Effectively engage employees. Develop and implement effective talent strategies to attract and retain the best employees.
Generally the role requires about 25% travel within assigned territories to drive collaboration with Dealer District and Business Units to understand regional business conditions.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelors degree preferably in Finance Business Administration Economics Accounting or Business Analytics
- 10 (plus) years practical experience in financial management and corporate finance. Progressive financial leadership experience
- Excellent communication and influencing skills. Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to diverse stakeholders and business partners influences strategic direction.
- Ability to interpret financial data in the context of broader business strategy and market dynamics andprovide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Excellent relationship building skills.
Top Candidates will also have:
- Knowledge of Caterpillar business operations as well as knowledge of Caterpillar dealership operations highly preferred
- Position collaborates with dealers on complex financial issues in multiple countries. Responsible for managing financial decisions involving currency fluctuations changing political and social environments.
