Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting

Would you like to use your finance experience in a highly visible role to make a difference We are looking for a Sr. Accountant SEC Reporting to join our Corporate Finance team! Reporting to the Sr. Manager SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting this role will help develop and complete critical steps in financial reporting process and various other accounting processes. Effective from the date that Hasbro opens its new Boston location this position will be onsite Tuesday Thursday at Hasbros new HQ location in Boston the interim this position will be onsite Tuesday Thursday at Hasbros HQ in Pawtucket RI or at Hasbros temporary location in Boston MA.

A day in the life of the Sr. Accountant SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting:

• Support external financial reporting process including the preparation of external financial statements and disclosures as required by the Securities and Exchange Commission (Form 10-Qs Form 10-Ks and Form 8-Ks).
• Support a continuous improvement by reviewing current processes and helping to suggest areas of improvement to facilitate a more efficient SEC and financial reporting process.
• Supervise and remain informed on new and proposed accounting and regulatory developments and evaluate their potential effect on the Company and its financial statements including but not limited to items issued by the FASB SEC and PCAOB.
• Work with the Finance organization to ensure the Companys compliance with generally accepted accounting principles by consulting on issues and through technical accounting and reporting training.
• Conduct research and analysis of complex accounting issues and provide recommendations to management.
• Perform analysis and special projects as required.
• Support SOX compliance and assist in the coordination of the annual audit and quarterly review activities of external auditors.
• Build relationships and regular communication with operational leaders to provide direct and timely assistance on matters that have accounting implications.
• Complete ad hoc projects assigned by senior management including analysis of business operations proposed accounting treatment of significant or unusual transactions or other accounting and finance-related matters.

What youll bring:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting a Certified Public Accountant designation is preferred.
• Minimum 4 years public accounting experience and/or public company experience. Big 4 experience preferred.
• Experience with SEC reporting.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Requires good written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

The base salary range for this position is $82700.00 to $124100.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience skills location and market conditions. Additionally employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
