For the expansion of our German Market Access team argenx is looking for a Senior Manager / Associate Director Market Access

PURPOSE OF THE FUNCTION

The Senior Manager / Associate Director Market Access Germany is responsible for supporting market access at the national level and managing product value from a German Market Access perspective with particular attention to the (early) pipeline. This role collaborates with external stakeholders and acts as an internal partner for Market Access International Commercial Medical Legal and Regulatory functions.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan market access and reimbursement strategies for product launches indication expansions and lifecycle management.

  • Evaluate pipeline indications with respect to German Market Access requirements and impact on price. Provide input to clinical development to ensure optimal reimbursement and launch readiness.

  • Contribute to price negotiations by analyzing potential pricing scenarios.

  • Ensure pricing analysis and modelling of argenx products and competitors input into global pricing data bases.

  • Establish and maintain personal relationships with selected payers advisors key opinion leaders and other stakeholders.

  • Support the development of HEOR analyses working in collaboration with internal cross-functional teams in medical affairs.

  • Monitor and analyze healthcare policy to identify access opportunities and risks.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Strong understanding of German health care system AMNOG process and requirements payer needs decision-making approaches and German reimbursement stakeholders and influencers.

  • Ability to grasp technical concepts and to work within a deeply scientific environment; exceptional learning agility demonstrated by advancement in prior roles/companies.

  • Experience working within launch and commercialization teams for innovative therapies in Germany.

  • Strategic thinking and excellent analytical skills.

  • Hands-On mentality and willingness to take leadership.

  • First-rate analytical ability with a penchant for using data to inform decision-making.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively together within cross-functional teams and networks.

  • Demonstrated communication skills within a multi-cultural and multi-lingual global environment .

  • Agility and demonstrated adaptability comfort with ambiguity trust-building and resilience.

  • Derives energy from operating in a dynamic complex fast-moving and frequently changing business environment.

  • Demonstrable experience with project management proactive planning priority setting and securing alignment.

  • Drives toward outcomes.

  • Ambitious inquisitive naturally a quick study with demonstrated eagerness to continuously learn self-improve and develop. This includes being comfortable giving and receiving feedback in a diverse environment.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience in biotech/pharma.

  • 3 years Market Access & Pricing experience specifically involving product launches in Germany

  • Advanced graduate level training in the natural sciences medicine business engineering or finance required.

  • Fluency in German and English
