The Safety Officer should be a competence and qualified person holding valid Ministry of Manpower Safety Certificate(s). The Safety Officer is to ensure the safety and well-being of Public Project Staff and all personnel during the Project Implementation
Responsibilities
- Conducting employee training on safety standards
- Conduct Safety Induction Courses to Staff & Subcontractors
- Reviewing safety training and recommending improvements
- Establishing and maintaining safety programs and protocols
- Ensuring safety equipment is available and usable
- Responding to employee safety concerns
- Conducting safety inspections and audits
- Reviewing accidents and incidents
- Identifying opportunities to reduce injuries accidents and health problems
- Evaluating risks associated with hazards in the workplace
- Analysing areas of non-compliance with safety standards
The ideal profile should have:
- Safety Officer with Valid Competency Certificate(s)
- Have at least two years of relevant work experience in a role that involves safety management coordination or inspections
