Job Description

Job Title: Administrative Assistant to Next Gen Pastor

Job Description: The Administrative Assistant to the Next Gen Pastor needs to be a confident highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can assist the Next Gen Pastor with routine tasks and projects. This position will require flexibility and the ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.

Job Classification: Full-time Hourly (Non-Exempt) (35 hours)



Work Week: Sunday - Thursday

Reports to: Next Gen Pastor

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Bring organization to Next Gen special events
  • Help to manage the Next Gen Calendar
  • Manage communication requests for Next Gen events
  • Meeting Management: Prepare for Next Gen global meetings including preparing agendas printing reports taking notes and arranging facility
  • Build and manage Next Gen Team with administrative volunteers
  • Schedule train and lead Journey Kids Check in Team during worship services.
  • Order supplies for weekly curriculum of Journey Kids
  • Attend calendar meetings with other departments to work on global calendar
  • Special Projects as assigned by the Next Gen Pastor
  • Oversee the office environment including ordering drinks for the kitchen and supplies for the copy room



Spiritual Criteria:

Candidates for this role are expected to demonstrate the following:

  • Confession of Faith Profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
  • Commitment to Growth Exhibit an ongoing pursuit of personal spiritual growth and formation.
  • Leadership Example Consistently model the standards and expectations of leaders within Journey Christian Church.
  • Church Membership Be a member in good standing at Journey Christian Church. (Membership is not required at the time of application but must be established by the beginning of employment.)



Experience:

  • High School Diploma is required College degree is encouraged
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office programs
  • High comfort level with technology
  • Organized; flexible; ability to multi-task
  • Exemplary oral & written skills
