Salary Range:$ 50346 - $55000 annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications. This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.
This position is dependent on the availability of funding. This funding is expected to last until September 29 2026.

Summary
The Talent Acquisition Professional at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) plays a vital role in supporting the Talent Acquisition team in their efforts to attract and hire top talent for the university. This position handles administrative tasks throughout recruitment ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for candidates and hiring managers. This position also communicates internally and externally regarding human resource practices and personnel actions. The Talent Acquisition Professional serves as a key point of contact for applicants and Human Resources Liaisons and plays a primary and integral role in maintaining transactional systems but will also assist with recruitment and compensation tasks as necessary.
Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
Ensure timely and accurate posting of job openings on internal and external job boards and university career portals.
Review candidate applications and resumes to ensure they meet the minimum qualifications for open positions as necessary.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
Perform recruitment-related data entry and generate reports ensuring data accuracy and integrity as needed.
Work with HR liaisons and other team members to provide a seamless recruitment experience for all stakeholders.
Engage in employer branding initiatives and recruitment events to promote UCCS as an employer of choice.
Stay informed about relevant HR policies and procedures to ensure recruitment and compensation guidelines compliance.
Foster collaborative relationships with hiring departments and colleges to understand and meet their recruitment needs.
Conduct job analyses of university staff classified staff and faculty positions in adherence to professional standards.
Assist departments in creating effective job announcements and perform quality reviews of job postings.
Determine appropriate classification of positions by comparing them with various compensation survey sources.
Guide supervisors on compensation strategies and adjustments ensuring necessary authorizations are obtained while adhering to EPA guidelines.
Identify areas for improvement in recruitment processes and propose new initiatives to enhance team efficiency.
Efficiently manage a high volume of daily transactional tasks while continuously seeking ways to improve processes.
Process diverse transactional requests by understanding the technical aspects and appropriate strategies for each.
Collaborate with Student Employment and other departments to ensure post-graduation employment and support the creation of student talent pipelines.
Provide support for additional projects including compensation duties and other team related tasks as needed.
Review and streamline current recruitment processes to eliminate redundancy and enhance departmental efficiency.
Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information related to applicants employees and the university.
Tentative Search Timeline
Bachelors Degree in human resources Business administration Education or a related field is required. (Substitution of year for year experience will be considered for the degree.).
Must have progressive administrative experience preferably in human resources or talent acquisition setting.
Experience with an applicant tracking system(ATS) and other recruitment software is required.
Masters Degree in Human Resources Business administration Education or a related field is preferred.
Professional certifications in HR such as SHRM-CP or PHR are highly desirable.
Highly qualified applicants will gave certification in job selection and job evaluation for the state of Colorado.
Experience in talent acquisition or recruitment support in a higher education or similar setting is preferred.
Experience with Peoplesoft or other Human Resources datr management systems is preferred.
