Job Description
Trainer Training
Shift: Monday Thursday 7am 5:30pm
What will you do
A day in the life of an Training Lead at VF looks a little like this.
This position is responsible for ensuring Operations associates both temporary and
permanent employees receive top-of-the-line training. The Trainer must be motivated
organized and demonstrate enthusiasm and good communication skills. Along with the
other Trainers this individual will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day training on all
roles across the distribution center in a fast-paced environment.
Lets break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
- Onboarding and training new employees ensuring they understand warehouse
- operations and safety procedures and maintaining training materials.
- Train and teach all aspects of Operations
- Ensure consistency in training proper procedures for each department
- Facilitate training sessions based on weekly departmental training requirements
- and building needs as well as cross training when needed.
- Facilitate Safety Courses
- Review training compliance reports to help identify training opportunities.
- Identify areas for improvement for associates and provide additional training
- support where needed
- Evaluate associate performances throughout the training program and give recommendations to Operations
- Effectively present and facilitate course content to associates in a positive manner
- Proficiently assist in developing training materials
- Review current Standard Operating Procedures for accuracy and request updates as
- needed
- Ensure all training documents are updated as processes are added or changed
- Develop strategic partnerships with Operations leadership to ensure training meets the needs of operations
- Cross train associates into different areas.
- Help with weekly coaching and give tips to help improve employee performance. Ensure consistency in training proper procedures for each department
- Creating Training Materials for SOP & Job Aids to support training programs.
- Sensitivity: Internal Use
- Assist with any Continuous Improvements where needed.
- Equipment Certifications: Certifying employees to operate powered industrial
- trucks.
What do you need to succeed
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
- Two plus years training/work experience preferred
- Possess organizational and planning skills
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner
- Ability to work under minimum supervision multi-task and meet regular deadlines
- Ability to stand walk bend and pull for entire 1012-hour shift
- Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel Word & PowerPoint) preferred
- Ability to present to all levels of employees with confidence
- High attention to detail with the ability to problem solve
- Ability to change with minimal notice
- Ability to build relationships

Hiring Range:
