Your Role:
As a Veterinary Assistant youll play a vital role in delivering smooth stress-free visits for our patients and their families. From prepping exam rooms to comforting nervous pets your support helps our clinic run efficiently and compassionately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams and procedures
- Safely restrain pets during treatments and diagnostics
- Administer medications and vaccines under supervision
- Maintain clean and organized exam rooms kennels and surgical areas
- Monitor patients post-procedure and report any changes in condition
- Educate clients on pet care and treatment instructions
- Support front desk operations when needed (check-ins phone calls etc.)
- Keep accurate medical records and help with inventory management
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting preferred
- A genuine love for animals and a strong desire to learn
- Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
- Reliable proactive and a true team player
- Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs and being on your feet for extended periods
