Job Description

Our client a prestigious international law firm is currently seeking a Legal Assistant to join their dynamic capital markets team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing listing application documents for U.S. and Hong Kong IPOs and assisting in the preparation of responses to inquiries from securities regulators. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-profile transactions and gain exposure to cross-border legal and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review listing application documents for U.S. and Hong Kong IPOs and assist in responding to inquiries from securities regulators.
  • Support legal due diligence processes.
  • Conduct legal research and provide analytical insights.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external clients.
  • Draft and review documents related to corporate reorganization transaction closings and other regulatory submissions; prepare due diligence and verification notes.
  • Manage general compliance tasks including drafting announcements circulars and meeting minutes; reviewing annual interim and quarterly reports; and preparing other relevant regulatory filings.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience supporting fee-earners in capital markets transactions.
  • LLM or LLB from a reputable law school in China Hong Kong or the U.S. with strong academic credentials preferred.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin (reading writing and speaking) is essential.
