K8 Music TeacherPosition SummaryMystic Valley Regional Charter School is seeking a passionate and dynamic Music Teacher to inspire students in Kindergarten through Grade 8. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality instruction in foundational music concepts foster creativity and artistic expression and prepare students for performances with a strong emphasis on string instruments. This role is an exciting opportunity to shape a comprehensive rigorous and joyful music program within a supportive school ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a K8 music curriculum with a focus on strings aligned to the Core Knowledge engaging objective-driven lessons that encourage creativity musical growth and technical skill assess student progress and provide clear constructive feedback through progress reports and report a structured positive classroom culture consistent with the MVRCS assertive discipline with Specials department colleagues and the assigned Assistant Director to ensure alignment and program to school-wide events concerts and performances fostering a culture of celebration and participate in faculty meetings trainings and professional development additional duties as assigned by the Assistant degree in music or music education teaching music and/or conducting string ensembles ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse classroom management and organizational to supporting student growth and fostering a love of communication skills both written and ability to assess learning and adapt instruction to promote and collegial mindset with a focus on building strong relationships with students families and of state and federal education laws and school successfully complete applicable MTELs within one year of DetailsThis is a full-time 11-month position subject to annual performance Valley Regional Charter School is an equal opportunity employer.
