Job Description
The Route Sales Representative is responsible for selling and delivering Batteries Plus products and services along an assigned route. This role combines sales delivery and customer service responsibilities to support commercial clients grow accounts and promote Batteries Plus solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Sell products and services (e.g. key cutting and programming installation of car batteries wiper blades headlights etc.).
- Establish new customers and maintain relationships with existing customers by providing excellent customer service.
- Keep all work areas clean and free of hazards.
- Meet deadlines and ensure timely deliveries.
- Operate a company vehicle safely in various weather and traffic conditions.
- Maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of the company vehicle.
- Conduct daily inspection of the vehicle (report maintenance and deficiencies immediately).
- Follow all safety rules and regulations; wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Education and Experience
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior driving or delivery experience is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize follow up and meet deadlines on multiple projects or tasks.
- Some computer skills may be required for order entry navigation and reporting tasks.
- Familiarity with Batteries Plus products and services.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
The physical demands required to perform the essential responsibilities of this position are as follows. Reasonable accommodations if necessary and/or as required by law will be made available.
- This position regularly requires frequent talking hearing standing walking using
hands and lifting up to 50 lbs. Occasional tasks may include sitting kneeling
crouching or reaching overhead.
- Associates in this role are required to regularly use electrical cables hand tools a magnifying glass spot welders automotive and electronic testing equipment and a company vehicle.
- While performing the responsibilities of this position the associate may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles toxic or caustic chemicals outdoor weather conditions and the risk of electrical shock.
- Protective clothing and/or equipment used in this position includes goggles gloves and steel-toed shoes.
