This position has been created as part of the recently implemented KU Childrens Services Teachers Enterprise Agreement 2025 a landmark development that continues to set new standards within the early childhood education sector. This new agreement reflects KUs ongoing commitment to excellence in educator conditions and professional practice. Key enhancements include increased dedicated time for Educational Leaders and programming additional child-free days and up to 15 weeks of paid parental leave further strengthening KUs comprehensive suite of employee benefits and supports.

The Hours and Service:
KU Wahroonga Preschool is a warm and welcoming early childhood service located on Millewa Avenue in leafy Wahroonga catering to children aged 3 to 5 years. With a proud history of serving the local community KU Wahroonga is known for its nurturing environment strong educator-child relationships and commitment to high-quality education and care.
The preschool offers a play-based learning program guided by the Early Years Learning Framework designed to spark imagination curiosity and a love of learning. Children engage in a wide variety of activities including outdoor play creative arts music and movement science exploration early literacy and numeracy experiences and social-emotional learning. The centre places a strong emphasis on developing emotional intelligence helping children build empathy resilience and confidence.
Set in a beautiful natural setting Our exceeding rated serviceis set in a lovely leafy environment that encompasses many natural play areas. The children are involved in the care and development of the outdoor environment through gardening recycling and suggesting ideas to improve the outdoor play areas for example the rock and mud area.
This opportunity will see you join the team 7.6 hours every Friday on a permanent basis. This position is providing coverage for additional Educational Leader time.
