Job Description

Sous Chef 2 Rosette Restaurant Isles of Scilly

Location: Isles of Scilly
Contract: Full-time Fixed Term (8 months)
Salary: 15 19 per hour tips bonuses & benefits (approx.package depending on hours and performance)


The Opportunity

Escape to one of the UK s most stunning island locations and take on a key kitchen role at a 2 Rosette hotel restaurant. We re looking for a talented Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in delivering fresh seasonal and memorable dining experiences for our guests.

This is a rare chance to combine a high-level culinary role with an unbeatable lifestyle in the Isles of Scilly with accommodation support and relocation assistance provided.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef in running daily kitchen operations

  • Prepare and cook dishes to 2 Rosette standards ensuring consistency and quality

  • Help plan and execute menus with creativity and seasonality

  • Train supervise and motivate junior kitchen staff

  • Manage stock ordering and supplier relationships

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness hygiene and food safety

  • Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal specials


About You

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous in a high-quality kitchen (Rosette/Michelin desirable)

  • Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support a brigade

  • Solid knowledge of cooking techniques ingredients and kitchen operations

  • Organised and able to thrive under pressure in a busy service

  • A genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience

  • Culinary qualifications are an advantage but not essential

Schedule

  • Full-time fixed-term contract (8 months)

  • 45 55 hours per week

  • Shift patterns may include 8 10 or 12-hour shifts

  • Day shifts evenings weekends and holidays
