Our client is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Engineer to spearhead the growth of our business by leveraging technical expertise and strategic market insight.

Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales
- Identify evaluate and secure new business opportunities in the electrical engineering sector.
- Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals to prospective clients.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key customers consultants and stakeholders.
- Conduct market research to identify trends customer needs and competitive activities.
- Negotiate contracts pricing and terms of business with clients.
Technical Support
- Provide engineering insights to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements.
- Collaborate with the engineering and projects teams to develop technical proposals.
- Assist in the design and specification of electrical engineering solutions tailored to client needs.
Strategic Input
- Support the companys growth strategy by identifying target sectors such as industrial mining energy utilities and infrastructure.
- Contribute to the preparation of annual sales forecasts budgets and strategic plans.
- Represent the company at trade shows conferences and industry networking events.
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities pipelines and customer interactions.
- Prepare periodic reports on business development activities and market performance.
Key Skills:
- Strong technical understanding of electrical engineering systems (power distribution control systems renewable energy industrial automation etc.).
- Excellent business development sales and negotiation skills.
- Strong presentation proposal writing and communication abilities.
- Ability to build and maintain professional networks and customer relationships.
- Self-driven results-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Computer literate (MS Office CRM tools AutoCAD/engineering software exposure is an advantage).
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related field (essential).
- A postgraduate qualification in Business Administration Marketing or Project Management is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 5 years experience in business development technical sales or project engineering in the electrical engineering or related sector.
- Proven track record in developing new business and achieving sales targets.
