Job Description

Position Overview:

The Assistant Service Managerwill support the Service Director in managing the daily operations of the service department. This includes ensuring customer satisfaction optimizing service workflow and helping drive revenue and growth. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in service department operations leadership skills and familiarity with key industry platforms such as Xtime Ignite and Reynolds & Reynolds. Marketing knowledge is a plus as this role will help strategize and implement campaigns to grow service business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing daily operations of the service department to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Supervise and mentor service advisors technicians and support staff
  • Monitor and manage KPIs such as CSI RO count gross profit technician productivity and service retention
  • Utilize Xtime to manage appointments scheduling and customer communication
  • Use Ignite and Reynolds & Reynolds to analyze data generate reports and manage service processes
  • Collaborate with marketing and management to plan and execute service promotions and campaigns
  • Help resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally
  • Support recruitment training and development of service department personnel
  • Ensure compliance with OEM standards and dealership policies
  • Drive a culture of accountability performance and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in a dealership service department (luxury brand experience preferred)
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience within the automotive industry
  • Proficiency in Xtime Ignite and Reynolds & Reynolds
  • Strong understanding of fixed operations processes and metrics
  • Excellent communication problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced customer-focused environment
  • Marketing experience or interest in customer retention strategies is a plus
