We are seeking a skilled SMT Rework/Assembly Technician with 2 years of experience in surface-mount technology (SMT) rework assembly and soldering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing modifying and assembling electronic circuit boards ensuring high-quality workmanship in accordance with industry standards. This role requires proficiency in hand soldering rework of fine-pitch components and using SMT assembly equipment. Monday-Friday day shift hours.
Responsibilities:
Perform SMT rework and assembly including component removal replacement and reflow soldering.
Solder and desolder fine-pitch components BGAs QFNs and other surface-mount devices (SMDs) using hot air and soldering stations.
Inspect test and troubleshoot PCBs to identify and repair defects.
Operate and maintain SMT rework stations soldering irons microscopes and X-ray inspection systems.
Assemble electronic components onto PCBs using manual and automated SMT assembly equipment.
Follow IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards for soldering and workmanship quality.
Read and interpret assembly drawings schematics and work instructions.
Ensure proper handling of ESD-sensitive components and compliance with ESD control procedures.
Work closely with engineering quality and production teams to improve assembly and rework processes.
Document rework repairs and process improvements for traceability and reporting.
