Quality Technician Fort Wayne IN
Pay: $22.54 hourly
Shift: 1st 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday

Primary Responsibilities
- Act as a key contributor in the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for new and/or design change parts ensuring documentation and validation meet IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
- Actively participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities to support new program launches and process changes.
- Participate in and/or lead cross-functional problem-solving teams utilizing structured methodologies such as 8D root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Collect enter and analyze Statistical Process Control (SPC) data; identify trends out-of-control conditions and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct audits of processes products and/or quality management systems based on triggers such as customer complaints quality alerts previous audit results SPC out-of-control points and product verification checks.
- Responsible for Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R) studies including completion documentation and retention of results per IATF 16949 requirements.
- Manage and implement all quality-related changes to Master Documents to maintain process and documentation integrity.
- Update and distribute process cards to relevant departments ensuring current and correct information is in use.
- Perform training on new or revised quality standards inspection methods and processes for operators and relevant personnel.
- Conduct Quality Inspector training ensuring inspectors are competent and consistent in application of standards.
- Attend and actively contribute to New Project Team meetings to ensure quality considerations are integrated early in project planning.
- Support continuous improvement activities aligned with the Quality Management System and IATF 16949 requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in quality or manufacturing preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality-related software.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to process discipline.
- Effective communication skills for training reporting and collaboration.
- Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English (verbal and written) is required.
