DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Assurance
- Support and assist quality and metrology technicians
- Receiving Inspection - Daily
- Quality inspection from each shipment or production lot
- Testing samples to ensure the product is acceptable
- Support R&D and Production with destructive and non-destructive testing on materials parts or products to measure performance life or material characteristics
- Perform annual component and assembly layouts
- Perform dimensional layouts for product analysis from R&D Lab production supplier and customer concerns
- Interpret engineering drawings schematic diagrams or formulas to create measuring processes to accurately verify conformance.
- Evaluate data and prepare reports graphs and charts as needed to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Verify accuracy of gauges and measuring instruments such as dial indicators fixed gauges height gauges and electrical and functional gauges.
- Compute unspecified dimensions and other data.
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education / Knowledge
- High School diploma and 5 years of QA experience
- Must demonstrate ability to fully operate set up and/ or program key measuring equipment
- Must demonstrate ability to fixture parts for manual or CMM measurements
- Must demonstrate ability to create a CMM program from a part drawing / model and verify accurate operation and measurement.
- Knowledge of interpreting GD&T drawings
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel Word and other related programs.
Experience
- 3 Years of experience in a manufacturing environment including Metrology and/or CNC set-up
Specific for Position
- Certification in Relevant CMM programming
