POSITION SUMMARY
The position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment in the parking areas for all patrons and team members.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following statements are intended as general examples of the duties of this position and are not all-inclusive for specific positions. Other reasonable duties may be assigned.
Responsible for the patrol of parking areas through Bike Patrol or Security vehicle; for the management of the parking areas and adherence to designated parking spots; for the immobilization of employee vehicles when in violation of the parking policy; and the issuance of warning tickets to vehicles that are parked in an unapproved area.
Responsible for controlling access to restricted areas.
Responsible for checking for and reporting safety hazards as well as responding to patron and team member incidents and accidents. Responsible for responding to any incidents at hotels or public areas.
Responsible for observation and identification of guests who may be intoxicated.
Responsible for the observation of any activities or persons that appear to be suspicious.
Responsible for escorts of Patrons or Employees to or from their vehicle when necessary.
Responsible for traffic control when necessary.
Serve as team leader for emergency response drills and evacuations.
Accountable to monitor patron and team member passage in and out of the casino.
Responsible for checking for and reporting safety hazards.
Responsible for checking IDs or notifying management if an underage patron is on the gaming floor.
Responsible for knowledge of all special events and promotional activities available to guest.
Responsible for regular and punctual attendance for scheduled shifts.
Responsible for developing and maintaining positive guest relations including but not limited to resolving minor guest disputes and ensures the safety and security of all guests and employees.

MARGINAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the assistance in transporting money chips tokens and markers. Assists the Security Management team with casino floor activities and guest disputes. Push in slot chairs and clean floor of empty glasses and dirty ashtrays as needed.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
The position is responsible to the Security Supervisor for successful performance of assigned duties

Ability to use all equipment associated with the position including but not limited to the following:
Hand held radio and flashlight
Use of Security Reports Database system
Bicycle and Security Vehicle
Security Tracking System
Multi-line telephone
ID scanners
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Biking 95% (up to entire 8 hour shift)
Bending and lifting 15% (up to 35lbs. without assistance)

Specific vision abilities required include close distance color depth perception and peripheral vision
Outdoor environment exposed to various temperatures and weather conditions. Casino environment exposed to various temperatures smoke dust and fumes bright lights and excessive noise levels. May include boat and/or floating barge. High rise hotel and atrium. Use of stairs elevators and / or escalators. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
ESSENTIAL JOB KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES
Ability to work shifts as scheduled.
Ability to learn and use the Security Reports Database system.
Ability to write reports.
Ability to use a telephone and two way radio.
Ability to read and understand memos.
Ability to perform duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
Knowledge of local state laws internal controls and gaming regulations.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE EDUCATION AND TRAINING
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. One year experience in security preferred. Completes all company-required training within designated time frames.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS
Ability to obtain and hold a Louisiana Responsible Vendors card.
