About The Role

The Desktop Administrator is responsible for delivering Level 2 technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems and related IT infrastructure. This role involves installing configuring upgrading and maintaining hardware and software in alignment with IT standards and customer service requests. The Desktop Administrator manages user access VPN accounts and conference room systems while also overseeing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

What Youll Do:

  • Provide Level 2 support for colleagues having technical issues
  • Install configure upgrade maintain and support desktop systems based on customer service requests and IT standard practices - including new hire setups
  • Develop preventive maintenance procedures to avoid system failures.
  • Set user access rights and permissions and create VPN accounts for users.
  • Maintain printers and other software and hardware peripherals.
  • Configure and maintain conference rooms and associated equipment - Zoom and Google hardware
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate complex problems to appropriate support teams for resolutions.
  • Perform repairs and replacements of software and hardware peripherals.
  • Provide new hire orientation training regularly.
  • Provide assistance to IT Team members if needed on operations & projects
  • Perform failure analysis and determine corrective action plans.
  • Plan and execute allotted work within deadlines and maintain records of daily tasks.
  • Oversee inventory management of software and hardware components.
  • Maintain accurate documentations for system installations configurations upgrades and disaster recovery activities.
  • Install antivirus software and oversee software license renewals.

The Right Fit:

  • 2 years of IT experience
  • Demonstrated experience supporting both Helpdesk and Systems Administration teams.
  • Hands-on expertise with enterprise IT tools such as JiraConfluence Jamf Okta Google Workspace Slack and endpoint management platforms.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL principles and service desk operations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience supporting hybrid or remote-first teams.
  • Familiarity with security best practices.
  • ITIL SCRUM PMP or other relevant certifications.

To provide greater transparency to candidates we share base pay ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function level and country location benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location skills depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials and may vary from the amounts listed below.

The base pay range for this position is $90000 to $99000
