What youll be doing
As a Sr. Consultant OCIO Audit & Controls Governance (9 Month Fixed-Term) you will support the Office of the CIO and will work collaboratively with other team members to provide compliance oversight and governance support to LOBs within Commercial Banking Payments and Wealth Management Technology (CBPT) Capital Markets Technology (CMT) and operational areas in order to ensure policies and procedures are followed at a level commensurate with CIBC risk appetite. You will assist in the review and implementation of CIBC Standards focusing on ongoing monitoring and guidance during each review. (Please note this is a governance role to support technology delivery groups and not internal audit role).

How youll succeed
Relationship Building- You will respond to clients inquiries and requests providing professional high-quality customer service for the assigned portfolio to ensure client satisfaction. You will liaise and interact with clients as part of the daily management of your portfolio.
Administration and Analytical Thinking - Provide analysis and support to initiatives that support internal clients. Provide support to all of LOBs within CBPWT in understanding identifying and addressing all applicable laws regulations and CIBC policies. This includes partnering with Legal Division Compliance Department and Governance Risk and Controls to understand implications and create and lead action plans to resolve new and pending laws and regulations that affect LOBs within Commercial Banking Payments and Wealth Management Technology.
Business Acumen - You have a good understanding of effective IT Governance components such as Value Delivery Strategic Alignment Performance Management and Risk Management. Provide support for any required testing under Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) policies Financial Process Controls (FPC) and Operational Process Controls (OPC) as well as Quarterly Key Process Controls. Evaluate the impact of introducing new CIBC policies/standards that need to be customized and implemented in LOBs within Commercial Banking Payments and Wealth Management Technology.
Who you are
You can demonstrate 5 years of experience in. developing planning and executing Internal or External Audits. Strong exposure to Audit & Compliance functions and have a strong understanding of Internal quality controls processes and CIBC Standards. Ideally you possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) a collaborative mindset and are well-versed in both Excel and PowerPoint. Its an asset if you have a technology background or have supported a Technology from a Governance standpoint with a focus on the client.
