The final candidate selected for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check as well as other investigative reviews. All final applicants tentatively selected for this position will be required to submit to urinalysis to test for illegal drug use prior to appointments. Testing will also be performed for the presence of marijuana. An applicant with a positive test shall not be offered employment unless the applicant submits medical documentation of legally prescribed medications or a recommendation for medical marijuana. Also an applicant with a positive test will not be considered for any position with the State of Ohio for a period of one year.

The Division of Unclaimed Funds reunites Ohioans with their hard-earned but forgotten money. This includes taking reports of unclaimed funds that result when an account becomes dormant and the business no longer has contact information for the account owner holding these funds for safekeeping and working aggressively to trackdown the rightful owner.
What Youll Do:
- Performs secretarial tasks for division leadership.
- Prepares confidential correspondence and reports.
- Conducts research utilizing a variety of sources to assist with making operational or legal decisions
- Research and prepare draft responses to public records requests and litigation discovery requests.
- Manage Division record retention and destruction in conformity with prescribed retention schedules.
- Document and disseminate division policies and procedures.
