Job Description
This role serves as the global subject matter expert for electrical testing of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA). The ideal candidate will be responsible for continuously improving test performance and equipment troubleshooting the most complex technical issues and driving the global strategy for test operations. This individual will lead the implementation and validation of new testing technologies and work with strategic vendors to ensure Plexus stays ahead of the technology curve. A key function of this role is to manage global stakeholders to align on developmental priorities lead the strategic road mapping process and ensure regional sites build the competencies to effectively support production and our evolving customer needs.
Key Job Accountabilities
Regarded as the go to global technical specialist leader and mentor for PCBA electrical test with specific expertise in in-circuit testing via Keysight 3070 bed-of-nails and flying probe test platforms.
Serves as the global technical and project lead for electrical test providing expert guidance managing strategic vendor relationships and leading global technical forums to drive execution on key initiatives.
Leads the strategic road mapping process and continuous improvement activities for test operations to continually evolve and transform Plexuss capabilities and maintain a competitive advantage in the market.
Provides leadership in technical discussions with customers understands their evolving needs identifies technology gaps and executes opportunities to close them.
Develops and deploys global test strategies conducts thorough test coverage analysis and identifies best practices to be implemented globally.
Manages global stakeholders to align on developmental priorities ensuring that regional sites and teams are building the necessary competencies to effectively support production.
Education/Experience Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Engineering or science is required; a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
A minimum of eight (8) years of related experience is required.
Extensive experience as a technical expert in PCBA in-circuit testing (ICT) specifically with Keysight 3070 and/or flying probe test systems.
Demonstrated experience in a global or multi-site role with a proven ability to lead and influence global stakeholders.
Experience with strategic planning technology road mapping and managing strategic vendor relationships.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
