We are seeking a compassionate detail-oriented and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Family Medicine team in Ankeny IA. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare providers by delivering high-quality clinical care and ensuring a positive experience for patients of all ages.
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed provider.
Room patients take and record vital signs medical history and reason for visit.
Assist with examinations procedures and treatments.
Administer medications and vaccinations as directed.
Perform point-of-care testing and collect lab specimens as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
Support care coordination and patient education based on provider orders.
Ensure exam rooms are stocked cleaned and properly prepared between patients.
Monitor and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
Adhere to infection control and safety procedures.
Work collaboratively with other clinical and administrative staff to deliver excellent patient care.
For CMA:
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Current certification as a CMA (AAMA NCCT NHA or AMT).
BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
For LPN:
Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
Current LPN license in the state of Iowa.
BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
