Under moderate supervision the Enterprise Technical Liaison is responsible for project vendor and administration management of Information Technology (IT) facility projects for Universal Services (US). Individuals in this role will be planning and preparing for emergency operations required to support the departments critical infrastructure. This role requires highly specialized knowledge of technology including megawatt-level generators automatic transfer switches high-voltage electrical systems Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS) battery technologies and precision cooling systems.
The Enterprise Technical Liaison is expected to demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to foster and maintain effective relationships with various stakeholders.
Job Duties:
Serves as the primary point of contact and liaison for Harris County Engineering regarding facility maintenance and construction projects within the addition establishes and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders; communicates status and collaborates with project sponsors key stakeholders and other key project personnel at all organizational levels to drive deliverables and maintain project budgets and schedules.
Manages the scope budget schedule and contract compliance for IT facility projects.
Leads and initiates analysis and solutions across multiple technical areas including but not limited to standby power systems large format UPS systems battery technology electrical subsystems and precision cooling systems; coordinates fueling operations.
Implements critical system hardware in accordance with industry best practices to support the delivery of applications to end users.
Oversees contractor and vendor-related tasks and deliverables to ensure the quality of work performed aligns with the contract and purchase order.
Education/Experience:
Bachelors Degree in a related field and
Two (2) years of directly related experience
OR
Associate Degree in a related field and
Four (4) years of directly related experience
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and
six (6) years of directly related experience
Knowledge Skill & Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of construction processes product application and building/infrastructure component assembly.
High degree of mechanical electrical HVAC and Fire Suppression systems aptitude.
Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage multiple projects through effective prioritization.
Ability to read and comprehend construction documents and MEP drawings.
Ability to interact with staff at all levels.

WORK/SCHEDULE SHIFT:
Monday to Friday 40hrs
Regular Full-time Onsite Position
May be required to work more than forty hours during the workweek and/or weekends or on-call 24 hours a day to meet special projects or deadlines.
Subject to performing other duties as assigned
Must live or plan to live in the Houston Texas metropolitan area.
LOCATION:
Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
