You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailProcess MPD Procurement requests and providing distributing documents to potential contractors responsible for coordinating and documenting response evaluations to assure bestresulting purchases.
Communicate effectively with contractors employees and stakeholders providing excellent customer service in associated interactions for Task Assignments Requests for Quote Equipment Punch Outs Modifications and participating in sourcing negotiation contract management and supplier relationship management.
Serve as liaison between MPD staff and suppliers to requisition favorable products and services validating associated purchase requests to ensure that the requests followed standard work andcomply with ADOT / State / Federal rules and regulations.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the departments business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Process new purchase requests: develops technical data scopes schedule etc. Analyze scopes/validate purchase request compliance procedures/regulations/rules. Process modifications using standard operating procedures/metrics.
Analyze/document modifications to assure federal/state permissibility. Establish/manage professional relationships with vendors/internal customers. Develop communications with customers to ensure procurements support needs.
Conducts contract administration activities such as data track closeouts. Training AMS activities recap status tracking misc. forms and documents. Other duties as assigned as related to the position.
Knowledge Of:
- State and federal statutes and rules related to government procurement activities and contract administration Best practices.
- Procurement / buying experience preferably under the Arizona Procurement Code.
- Procuring with federal funds preferably USDOT funds.
- Know how to read and understand the terms and conditions of a procurement contract.
- Know how to follow the standard work with little direct supervision.
- Enter requisitions in the Arizona Procurement Portal.
- Basic knowledge of the transportation industry to understand the scope of work in contracts.
- Develop/Implement monitoring strategies to ensure accountability.

- Communications with internal evaluation teams project managers and external contractors.
- Developing and implementing strategies based upon business strategic goals/objectives.

- Interpreting business issues and recommending countermeasures.
- Moderate/Expert Experience with PDF documents: editing converting combining page adds page extracts.
- Moderate/Expert Experience with MS Office Google Workspace.
Ability To:
- Handle complex scheduling / tracking project flows.
- Handle multiple projects at various stages simultaneously.
- Read and understand Standard Work and follow process flow diagrams and pick up a project at any point along the standard work and complete it from there.
- Meet the time requirements for each process step and document exceptions with specific business reasons.
- Work virtually in office and able to contribute to the team perspective by meeting predetermined metrics.
- Establish and maintain effective customer contractor vendor and supplier relationships.
- Synthesize summarize and analyze a variety of data/sources and formulate workable recommendations.
Minimum two (2) years experience with Procurement Purchasing.
Prefer experience under the Arizona Procurement Code and/or procuring with federal funds.
Prefer experience entering requisitions into Arizona Procurement Portal.
This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job and the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid class-appropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R.11).
Valid Arizona Drivers License with acceptable 39 month MVR.
